Marathon City 2020 Ltd. is a community-based, non-profit organization comprised of business owners, community leaders and residents who are genuinely interested in seeing our community grow and remain a thriving place to live and do business for many generations. Anyone who has an interest in supporting revitalization efforts is welcome to attend and participate in Marathon City 2020 Ltd. meetings and on committees. Meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 6p.

Our Mission:

To provide leadership, resources and practical tools for economic and community development and sustainability. We build a stronger community by engaging, mobilizing and supporting our Village leadership, residents and business owners, and ensuring everyone collaborates to make our community an amazing place to live and do business.

 

Our Strategic Goals:

1. Develop and implement effective fundraising initiatives for our organization as recommended by the Advancement Committee.

 

​2. Support and promote new businesses with an emphasis on downtown businesses.

        

3. Recruit and retain 2020 board membership, by identifying key businesses for representation, and defining member attributes that add value to our board.

 

​4. Support and promote existing businesses in community and encourage shopping local.
