RE: Marathon City Heritage Center Holiday Open House

The Marathon City Heritage Center will be celebrating a Holiday Open House on Sunday, December 6th, 2015 from 10a to 2p. Children are invited to come and meet St. Nicholas who is making a special appearance at the center between Noon - 2p. Refreshments and snacks will also be available.

The center is located at 301 Main Street, Marathon, the former Peoples State Bank building at the corner of Second and Main streets. Because of the scheduled Holiday Open House, the Heritage Center will not be open on December 13th. Starting in January, the center will again be open regularly the second Sunday of each month from 10a to 2p, or by appointment.

The Marathon City Heritage Center is a joint collaboration between the Marathon County Historical Society and Marathon City 2020 Ltd. Many of the center’s initial collections on display are on loan from the Marathon County Historical Society.

People are encouraged to donate unused holiday decorations for use at the center this season, especially if they have a vintage or historical significance.
