Heritage Center Park Grand Opening Event Announced

Everyone is invited to attend the Grand Opening Celebration and Fundraising Event for the new Heritage Center Park on Thursday, July 18, 2019. Family friendly activities begin at 6p and will run until dark. Marathon City 2020 Ltd. is hosting the celebration at their newly constructed park located by the Heritage Center at 301 Main Street, Marathon. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs because limited seating will be available. Entertainment will feature live music by the Bar ChorD'z Band. Brats, hotdogs, chips, dessert and new T-shirts

will be available for purchase to help raise funds for the Heritage Center Park and MC2020 Ltd. Additionally, winners of the Marathon Memories essay contest will be announced, and donors and supporters of the Power of Community Campaign will be recognized. A book sale and signing will also be coordinated by author Lawrence Wokatch.
